Ensuring the safety, healing, and self-sufficiency of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child and elder abuse through easily accessible, coordinated, comprehensive, culturally sensitive services in one location.
The Shasta Women’s Refuge and Family Justice Center and its partner organizations provide a gateway to safety, healing, and self-reliance for victims of family violence. The SFJC serves as the heart of a comprehensive service delivery system that is inclusive and multi-cultural. Together, SFJC partners deliver coordinated services that are easily accessible through one location. We advocate for and construct a future where there is zero tolerance for family violence in Shasta County.
The SFJC is a one-stop help center for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse or elder abuse. By housing many different types of professionals under one roof, victims don’t need to go as many places to get help. The SFJC provides both emergency and long-term services in the hopes of breaking the cycle of violence in Shasta County.

Told by the detective who led the case review, Telling Amys Story follows the timeline of a domestic violence homicide that occurred in central Pennsylvania on November 8, 2001. While we will never be able to change the ending to Amys story, we hope that its telling can change outcomes for the millions of victims, survivors, and loved ones affected by domestic violence everyday.Learn more about the project at http://telling.psu.edu and http://www.facebook.com/tellingamysstory
